Sage 50 2023 Notification:

 

After installing Sage 50 2023 the following versions do not work properly Sage 50 version 2021 and Sage 50 2022.

For Sage 50 version 2022 the open company windows stays open and the navigation displays do not appear at a minimum.

 

If Sage 50 2023 is installed on the same computer with version 2019 and 2020 – Then when attempting to run 2019 and 2020 the application will not open at all.

 

Please note if you are attempting to run Sage 50 2019, Sage 50 2020, Sage 50 2021, Sage 50 2022 on the same computer they will need to be freshly installed in the year order. Sage 50 2023 will not run on the same box as other Sage 50 installations and will need to be installed on a new or separate hard drive.

 

Versions of Sage 50 2019 and lower use the Pervasive PSQL data base engine

 

Running incompatible versions of Sage 50 on the same computer:

 

2019 will not install with, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

 

2023 does not install very well with 2022 as it will cause some problems in 2022, such as, the Navigator not working.

 

Sage 50 version 2013, Sage 50 2014, Sage 50 2015, Sage 50 2016, Sage 50 2017, Sage 50 2018, 2019 and Sage 50 2020 can be installed on the same PC and should run without issues.

Purchase Orders now support auto-populating Custom Fields from Item Custom Fields

Similar to how BOMs and MOs currently behave, PO details now have the ability to populate Custom Fields from Items. This requires that both the Item and PO Custom Fields are configured similarly.

Added ability to close multiple Orders (POs, WOs & MOs)

This is a long requested feature, and it’s been implemented for each of our order types. While it cannot have the granularity of a single order close, you can now multi-select from the order grid and then close each selected row at once. The help will fully describe this addition, just search for “close multiple” or something similar!

Option to Hide Closed Orders (POs, WOs & MOs)

Added a new “Hide Closed” button to the navigation toolbar for the main grids for POs, WOs & MOs. This allows for an immediate hide/display of all closed orders.

Production/Supply Schedule settings are now persisted

Zoom, date and other selections for both areas are now persisted through login sessions.

  2. Create a New Company “2017 History” (Current year to archive)
  3. Restore the backup into the 2017 History Company
  4. Go to Maintain -> Company Data -> chance the company name to “2017 History” company
  5. Log in to the Live Company
  6. Confirm all old Sales Orders have been closed
  7. Confirm all old Purchase Orders have been closed
  8. Print the following reports using 12/31/2017

– General Ledger Trial Balance

– Accounts Payable Aging

– Accounts Receivable Aging

– Inventory Valuation

– Payroll YTD Earnings

  1. Go to Tasks -> System -> Year End Wizard
